Get to know our story!
The story of the Rózsaligeti Estate began in 2018, because that's when we moved to this special place, but before that, the determination towards a challenging, new way of life matured in us for many, many years. But stronger than the uncertainty were the many fond memories that accompanied our childhood at our grandparents' house and farm.
Even after many, many years, we felt the intoxicating smell of the fields, forests, the freshly mowed meadow, the drying hay, we felt the taste of fresh bread baked in the oven in our mouths, the sound of cows, horses and poultry waking up in the early hours of the morning rang in our ears.
The memory of pig slaughtering with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins lived in us as a fresh memory, when the joy of working together filled everyone with such a good feeling, connecting and forging both young and old, generations alike. While working, listening to old family stories, traditions, and events told by grandparents and great-grandparents.
With the opening of the Rózsaliget Estate, we want to evoke and show the memory and charm of the past. To introduce to the dear guests who come to us how much calmness, ancient knowledge brought from a long ago world, acceptance of each other can show to us humans, the nearly 150 animals that live with us, around us (horses, donkey, sheep, lambs, komondors, poodles , cats, ducks, goose, guinea fowl, wild duck, mallard goose), when we rest a little, we calm down, we pay attention to them.
Furthermore, we would like to treat our guests with home-made dishes that are characteristic of the countryside, the village, and learned from our parents and grandparents. The raw materials are partly made from the meat of our own reared pets, as well as from vegetables and fruits.
